All rough areas on the golf course were aerified...
A new cart pull off was added to the parking area on #3...
3 new concrete slabs were added to the range tee, acting as platforms for artificial tees that will help add more teeing locations...
Bunker sand was redistributed throughout all bunkers...
A late fall snow storm was severely damaging to a lot of the trees on the course, especially those species on the course that hadn't lost their leaves before the storms hit. This took several weeks of debris clean up and we are currently trimming back the damage....
All hands on deck cleaning up fallen debris...
Our debris piles were then hauled away by an outside contractor for disposal....
After the snow melted from the October storm. New trees were planted. 39 in total as of now with more to come this spring. Species, mature height, micro climate, course strategy and fall color were all factors that went into the placement of these new trees.
The irrigation system was blown out right on time before the next snow hit us on Thursday the 1st. Prior to blow out we applied a dormant fertilizer to the course to aid in spring green up. We also sprayed a fungicide application onto greens, approaches, tees and fairways that will help protect the turf from pink and gray snow mold.
It was a busy fall but I feel confident going into spring that we have taken the correct steps to ensure the course will be in the best condition possible as we begin to thaw out.
